Heroic top Elisa Invitational Group B over KOVA; North eliminate Nordavind

With Group B of Elisa Invitational reaching its conclusion, HEROIC secured the top spot and a direct path to the semi-finals, while Nordavind fell short in last place.

Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller’s men kicked off the event with a one-sided victory over their Danish rivals of North before taking down Nordavind in the following match. Their third win transpired after facing off against the other unbeaten team in the group, KOVA, who they took down on Nuke to remain undefeated with a perfect 3-0 record.

With their only loss to HEROIC, KOVA ended the group in second place to set up a quarter-final battle with Apeks in the playoff stage of the tournament, with ENCE awaiting the winner of the matchup in the semi-finals. The Finnish side will be hoping for more inspiration from Nikita "⁠Derkeps⁠" Sirmitev, who ended the day with a sensational 1.69 rating after topping the scoreboard for his team in all three games.

Meanwhile, North survived a scare against Nordavind in the group's elimination match, with the Mathias "⁠MSL⁠" Lauridsen-led squad eventually closing out the map 19-17 thanks to a fantastic performance from Philip "⁠aizy⁠" Aistrup to scrape their way to the quarter-finals.
